Quantum of Solace

Quantum of Solace (B-). I guess there's been a lot of wailing about what a comedown this movie is after the giddy high of Casino Royale. Well, don't sign me up for that weepfest. I thought Casino Royale was a competent, enjoyable thrillride, but it wasn't the greatest movie in the world or anything. This one was only a little less enjoyable. The villain certainly wasn't very intimidating, and I never quite understood exactly what the big nefarious plan was. And one of the fight scenes in the early going got a little ridiculous, a little "Donkey Kong" ish for my taste. On the other hand, this Ukrainian gal, Olga Kurylenko, is a top-tier Bond sidekick. She's like a younger, petite version of Catherine Zeta-Jones.
